The National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has praised the developmental efforts of Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, describing his performance as a testament to “purposeful and people-centred leadership.”
Kwankwaso gave the commendation on Sunday night when Governor Yusuf visited his Abuja residence to formally present his newly received national leadership award. The courtesy visit, attended by senior party stakeholders and associates, highlighted the close political bond between the two leaders.
Speaking during the visit, Kwankwaso expressed delight over what he described as Governor Yusuf’s steady progress in governance and delivery of democratic dividends across Kano State. He noted that the governor’s projects and reforms in critical sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and human development were clear indications that the state was in capable hands.
The NNPP leader further urged Governor Yusuf to remain focused, accountable, and committed to the welfare of the people, adding that true leadership is measured by tangible impact on citizens’ lives.
In his remarks, Governor Yusuf thanked Kwankwaso for his guidance and mentorship, stating that the award he received was dedicated to the people of Kano and to leaders like Kwankwaso who laid the foundation for the state’s development.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to sustain projects and policies that align with the party’s vision for a prosperous and inclusive Kano State.
