Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has directed all political appointees to return to their respective local government areas (LGAs) to mobilize citizens for the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, effective from Monday, September 1, 2025. The directive, confirmed through statements from the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, and a circular from the Office of the Secretary to the Government, Dr. Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, instructs commissioners, senior appointees, and other officials to lead grassroots efforts and coordinate ward-level registration drives. The move aims to boost voter participation ahead of future elections, with appointees required to submit detailed reports on new registrations.
