The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has assured Bola Ahmed Tinubu of overwhelming political support from Kaduna State ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring that all three senatorial zones of the state are now firmly united behind the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Abbas made the declaration during a high-level visit to the State House in Abuja, where he led a delegation of prominent Kaduna stakeholders to brief the President on what he described as the growing strength and acceptance of the APC across the state.
The delegation included key political figures such as Sunday Marshall Katung, who represents Kaduna South Senatorial District, and Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central between 2015 and 2019. Their presence underscored what observers see as a broadening coalition of political actors rallying behind the APC in the state.
Describing the visit as a strategic political engagement, Abbas said the delegation came not only to reaffirm loyalty to the President but also to provide firsthand insight into the shifting political dynamics in Kaduna. “This is Kaduna in summary,” Abbas said. “We are here to assure Mr. President that APC has been accepted 100 per cent in all the nooks and crannies of Kaduna, and to tell him that 2027 is guaranteed — a landslide from zone one to zone two to zone three.”
The Speaker also reiterated support for the administration of Uba Sani, noting that the governor’s leadership has played a crucial role in stabilizing the political environment and fostering unity among diverse groups within the state.
Kaduna, a politically significant state in Nigeria’s North-West region, has historically experienced intense political competition and, at times, deep divisions along ethnic, religious, and regional lines.
