Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has received nine Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) who recently completed the Senior Executive Course (SEC) 47/2025 at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru, Jos.
The course, which commenced in March 2025 and concluded on December 13, 2025, involved several months of rigorous training designed to strengthen leadership, policy formulation, and strategic management skills among senior police officers.
During their visit to the Police Headquarters, the DCPs presented a comprehensive report on their coursework, offering key recommendations aimed at improving operational efficiency and enhancing security management within the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
The officers highlighted innovative strategies and best practices learned during the programme, which they believe could be applied to address contemporary policing challenges. IGP Egbetokun commended the officers for their commitment and proactive approach, noting that continuous professional development is crucial for effective leadership within the force.
He assured that the insights and recommendations would be carefully reviewed and integrated where feasible to strengthen the NPF’s operational effectiveness. The SEC at NIPSS is widely regarded as a premier training programme for senior executives across government and security agencies, equipping participants with strategic thinking and policy skills necessary for high-level decision-making.
The nine DCPs are now expected to apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills in their respective commands, contributing to a more efficient and responsive police service.
