Anu Adeleke, the alleged daughter of Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has made a fresh emotional appeal to the singer, asking for a DNA test to clarify her identity as she transitions into her teenage years.

In a statement dated January 15, 2026, and shared from Ibadan, Nigeria, Anu explained that her decision to speak out was personal and carefully considered. She noted that the message was written independently and not influenced by relatives, stressing that her desire for clarity has grown stronger with age.

This year I become a teenager,” she wrote, adding that her mother and grandmother raised her with strict values centered on discipline, responsibility, and good conduct. According to her, those values helped her navigate difficult childhood experiences linked to long-standing questions surrounding her paternity.

Anu disclosed that she endured years of bullying after telling classmates that her father was Mr David Adeleke, an experience that left lasting emotional scars. “I was bullied in school since I was 6-years-old and cried home daily,” she stated. She added that the pressure affected her mental well-being and required professional support during a particularly challenging period of her life.

Despite these difficulties, Anu said she remained focused on her education, eventually rising to become her class prefect. She explained that her social media page had remained inactive for several years because her mother avoided updating it, choosing instead to shield her from public attention.

Now in secondary school and continuing to excel academically, Anu said she no longer discusses her family history publicly. However, she noted that maturity has brought a renewed desire to establish her identity clearly and respectfully.

“On that note as I transition into a young woman, I am respectfully asking Mr David Adeleke, Singer @davido, for a DNA test to establish my identity,” she wrote. She emphasized that the request was personal, adding, “This test is between my dad and I. It is something I want. It is something that’s the right thing to do.”

Anu revealed that she had also sent the message directly to Davido via private message, appealing to him to consider her request. She concluded by thanking Nigerians for their emotional support over the past seven years and offered prayers for the singer, describing the test as essential to her peace of mind.
