Nigerian music sensation Davido has condemned the recent attacks in Kebbi and Kwara states, calling for unity and action to bring the perpetrators to justice.

In a heartfelt message, Davido expressed his solidarity with the families of the victims, particularly the young girls kidnapped in Kebbi state.

“My heart goes out to the young girls kidnapped in Kebbi state and to their families. No family deserves this pain. As Nigerians, we must stand together in unity and continue working towards a country where every child can grow up in safety and hope,” Davido said.

The incident in Kebbi state occurred on Monday when gunmen attacked a dormitory, kidnapping 25 girls. Barely 24 hours later, another attack occurred in Kwara state, where gunmen stormed a church during a service, abducting some and killing others.

Davido also expressed his sadness over the attack in Kwara state, praying for the families who lost loved ones and those affected by the incident. “I am deeply saddened by the tragic attack on the church in Kwara state. I pray for the families who lost loved ones and for everyone affected by this heartbreaking incident. These acts of violence must never become our norm,” he said.

The singer urged anyone with credible information to come forward and support the rescue efforts. “Everything must be done to bring the Kebi girls home safely. I urge anyone with credible information to come forward in whatever safe and responsible way they can so it can support ongoing efforts to rescue them,” Davido added.

In his message, Davido concluded by praying for the safe return of the kidnapped girls and for peace to be restored in Nigeria. “May God watch over the girls until they return. May He comfort the grieving families in Kwara. Bring peace to our nation and put every sponsor of violence and disorder to shame”.
