Nonye Soludo, Anambra Governor’s Wife and founder, Healthy Living Initiative, on Wednesday pledged to deliver a free one-month computer training programme for secondary school students and youths in the state.

Soludo made the announcement in a statement made available to newsmen in Awka.

She said the programme was aimed at equipping young people with basic digital skills needed to improve their educational, employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.

The governor’s wife said participants would undergo the training for one month, with classes scheduled three times a week.

According to her, the training will commence on Aug. 24 and hold three times weekly at the Healthy Living Complex, in Awka.

“The programme is open to secondary school students and young people interested in developing foundational computer skills and building confidence to participate effectively in the digital economy.

“Access to digital skills has become increasingly important in education, employment, entrepreneurship and personal development.

“There is the need to expose young people to basic computer knowledge early, especially as technology continued to play a growing role in various sectors of the economy”.

She encouraged interested students and youths to register for the programme through its online registration portal: https://forms.gle/6kW2M4QAXScG7XyG7.

“The programme is part of our broader commitment to empowering young people with practical skills for self-development and improved opportunities in a technology-driven society, “Soludo said.
