The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is preparing to launch a mobile application this September for the verification of licenses and plate numbers. Elizabeth Jayeola, the FRSC spokesperson in Lagos, revealed this information on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief.

Jayeola, who serves as the Sector Public Education Officer of the FRSC Lagos State Command, explained that the mobile app will have functionalities for both citizens and road safety officials.

“There is a mobile app that is going to be launched in September 2024. It has functions for the citizens and for the FRSC. We are going to incorporate features into this mobile app, allowing you to check licenses, number plates, and other related information,” said Jayeola.

She also mentioned that radar gun technology has been deployed and is currently being used on the Third Mainland Bridge to detect vehicles that are speeding.

The FRSC spokesperson further identified speeding and aggressive driving, among other factors, as the primary causes of accidents in Lagos.
