​Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-proclaimed Director-General of the “Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council,” has declared his readiness to cooperate with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over its investigation into the fictitious agency.
​Adeyemi made the disclosure on Tuesday during an Instagram live interview with social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.
​His statement comes barely hours after President Bola Tinubu disowned the council and directed the ICPC to launch a full-scale investigation into its activities. The President has demanded a comprehensive report from the anti-graft agency within 30 days.
President Tinubu ordered an immediate probe into the “Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council” after it was exposed as a non-existent and unauthorized entity operating under the guise of a federal government agency.
Speaking during the social media interview, Adeyemi maintained that he has nothing to hide and welcomes the ICPC’s scrutiny to clear his name.
The ICPC has been given exactly one month to unravel the operations of the fictitious council, identify all individuals involved, and submit its findings to the presidency for further action.
