The Primate of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba, has called on the Federal Government to expose those sponsoring banditry and insurgency, which continue to claim the lives of innocent people across the country.

Addressing the congregation during the Easter Sunday Service at the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Life Camp, Abuja, Most Reverend Ndukuba urged the political class to use the season of Christ’s resurrection to put an end to the ongoing killings in Plateau and Benue States, as well as in other parts of the country.

The Anglican Primate, in his submission expressed the belief that those sponsoring the evil acts often attend churches and mosques, emphasizing that government must summon the political will to tackle the situation before it escalates further.

He stressed the need for leaders to emulate the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and show love to their followers by addressing the plight of the downtrodden in the society.

According to him, corruption, greed, and lack of love are the major factors that have led the country to its present state.

Most Reverend Ndukuba, also emphasized the need for citizens to love one another and remain patriotic in the face of the current challenges bedeviling the nation.

He expressed hope that the country would emerge stronger, as he believes God has a special interest in Nigeria’s affairs.
