Four Nigerian entertainers have signed a contract to be brand ambassadors for Goodfathers Whisky, formerly known as Kubanah Whisky.

The contract is for a year’s promotion of the indigenous brand to help it to retain customers’ loyalty and boost sales.

Wumni Toriola, a skit maker known as Queen Latifah; Chibuike Gabriel,  a content creator known as Untouchable; and Yiwande Adekoya, an actress, are among the four entertainers.

The other person is Abisi Emmanuel, a skit maker and comedian known as Nastyblaq.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that entertainers formalised the promotion deal at the re-launch and rebranding of the Goodfathers Whisky in Lagos.

At the event during which the rebranded whisky was publicly presented, Chief Emeka Ike, Chief Executive Officer of MP Masterpiece Ltd., producers of the whisky, described the drink as an indigenous brand with premium quality.

Ike said: “Those our brand ambassadors have remained consistent and have sustained their stardom in the creative industry.

“As they grow in career and maintain stardom, the brand will grow and dominate the spirit market with dexterity,” he said.

He said that the company, through product manufacturing, has continued to provide jobs for the youth.

Nastyblag said at the event that the brand has continued market dominance because of high quality and affordability.

Untouchable said that the brand is suitable to the Nigerian economy because of  its affordable price.
