The Edo State Government has appointed Dr. Patrick Ebojele as the new Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor Monday Okpebholo, signaling a fresh direction in the administration’s communication operations.
The appointment was formally announced in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor, and released on Thursday. According to the letter, Dr. Ebojele will immediately assume duties as he takes over from Fred Itua, who previously served in the role.
Before joining the governor’s media team, Dr. Ebojele was a lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, where he built a reputation as a committed scholar and communicator. His academic background and experience in public communication are expected to enhance the government’s engagement with the public and improve the flow of information on policies and programmes.
