The Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that opposition political parties in the state are headed for a “colossal defeat” in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
Speaking at a strategic party stakeholder and mobilization meeting held yesterday at the party’s secretariat in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State APC Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, asserted that the outstanding performance of the state government has effectively silenced the opposition.
”The opposition in Ebonyi State is practically non-existent. With the landmark developmental strides of Governor Francis Nwifuru, we do not need to campaign with empty promises. The projects speak for themselves, and come next year, the opposition will suffer a colossal defeat at the polls,” Emegha stated.
The party leadership emphasized that the APC remains highly integrated, pointing to the massive turnout at recent mobilization rallies.
Chief Emegha cited Governor Nwifuru’s focus on rural development, civil service welfare, and healthcare delivery as the party’s strongest campaign tools.
The chairman noted that the party expects to welcome more high-profile defectors from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) in the coming months.
The state leadership urged party faithful and ward executives to maintain momentum, consolidate on their grassroots structure, and ensure complete dominance across all 13 Local Government Areas of the state ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
