The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a fresh reduction in the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, lowering the price to ₦699 per litre with effect from December 12, 2025.

In addition to the price cut, the refinery also introduced a 10-day credit facility for petroleum marketers, a move expected to ease cash flow challenges within the downstream sector and improve fuel distribution across the country.
The development was disclosed in a notice issued by the refinery on Friday night through its official X (formerly Twitter) handle.

According to the statement, the new price regime is open to all customers, underscoring the company’s commitment to making petroleum products more affordable and accessible.

Industry stakeholders have described the decision as a significant intervention that could help stabilise fuel supply and reduce pressure on pump prices nationwide. The introduction of the credit facility is also seen as a strategic step to support marketers, especially independent operators, amid prevailing economic challenges.

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery, Africa’s largest single-train refinery, has continued to play a growing role in Nigeria’s energy sector, with recent pricing adjustments reflecting its influence on market dynamics and efforts to cushion the impact of fuel costs on consumers.
