The Cross River Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended its state chairman, Venatius Ikem.
The party replaced him with Chief Austine Edibe, who took over as acting chairman.
This is contained in a resolution letter dated November 15, 2024 and signed by all 42 members of State Working Committee, Zonal officers and chapter chairmen of the party.
Signatories include Messera Dennis Nkiri ( Deputy Chairman), Tony Edako ( state Secretary), Austine Edibe ( Vice chairman, North), Iby Ajogbor ( Vice chairman, Central) and Asuquo Ekpo ( Vice chairman, South).
The leadership in their resolution accused the suspended state chairman of failing  to perform his duties as outlined in the party constitution.
