A coalition of Igbo groups in the United States of America under the aegis of Rising Sun Foundation Inc., USA, has condemned the continued illegal detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a self-determination group, saying that having spent 30 months in detention, it is high time the Igbo across the globe united to fight for his release.
In a statement signed by Chief Maxwell Dede Emole, Dr. Remy Okea, Evans Nwankwo and Benjamin Nwankwo for the groups and made available to Daily Query, the Foundation said they could no longer remain silent as their leader, Kanu continues to be detained.
