The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated 1,000 bags of 25kg rice to the Christian Northern Nigeria Political Forum in Bauchi State to support Christian communities during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The Bauchi State Coordinator of the Forum, Mr Ayuba Dogara, disclosed this on Saturday while supervising the distribution of the items across the state. Dogara explained that the donation was aimed at easing the burden on Christian families during the festive period and promoting unity and inclusiveness.
He added that the rice would be equitably shared among beneficiaries across all 20 local government areas of Bauchi State. According to him, the gesture by the First Lady reflects her commitment to the welfare of Nigerians, particularly vulnerable groups, and underscores the importance of compassion and national cohesion during the festive season.
He also expressed appreciation to Senator Tinubu for the timely intervention, noting that the support would bring relief and joy to many households as they celebrate Christmas and usher in the New Year.
The Christian Northern Nigeria Political Forum reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful coexistence and prayed for continued peace, unity and progress in Bauchi State and the country at large.
