Huawei and China Unicom have officially launched China’s first commercial 10G broadband network in Xiong’an New Area, a rapidly emerging technology hub in Hebei Province near Beijing.

Powered by advanced 50G Passive Optical Network (50G-PON) technology, the network delivers exceptional performance with download speeds reaching up to 9,834 Mbps, upload speeds approaching 1,008 Mbps, and ultra-low latency as low as 3 milliseconds.

This marks a significant leap forward from traditional gigabit fiber networks, paving the way for next-generation digital infrastructure and smart city development

Thi is coming on the heels of several countries still struggling to Launch 5G networks.
