The Earth will finally welcome back home, and receive the body of late Nigerian ‘Hall of Fame’ recipient, Sports Ambassador, Member of the Federal Republic, MFR, Air Peace Ambassador, and only ‘Field Marshall’ in the history of Nigerian football, ‘Chairman’ Christian Chukwuemeka Chukwu, on Friday, August 22, 2025.
The family announced the date this morning in Enugu. Arrangements for a national befitting burial have already begun.
Plans are underway for an event to take place in Lagos, where he played most of his national team football, to enable his fans and friends that may not be able to travel to Enugu for the funeral, to celebrate the legendary Nigerian football hero.
