Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B has released her highly anticipated sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, marking her first full-length project in seven years.
The 23-track record, released Friday via Atlantic Records, shot to No. 1 on the US iTunes albums chart within hours of its debut. It features an array of star-studded collaborations, including Megan Thee Stallion, Kehlani, Selena Gomez, Janet Jackson, Lizzo, Cash Cobain, Summer Walker, and Tyla.
Rolling Stone awarded the album 4.5 stars, praising it for “delivering raw energy and fearless storytelling.” Alongside the release, Cardi premiered a video for the single Safe and appeared at an Apple Music event in New York to promote the project. A world tour, The Little Miss Drama Tour, is scheduled for early 2026, with over 30 arena dates across North America.
The new album arrives during a period of significant personal and legal milestones for the Bronx-born rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar.
On September 17, she confirmed that she is expecting her fourth child, her first with New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs. “I’m excited. I’m happy,” Cardi said in an interview with CBS, following weeks of speculation about her pregnancy.
The announcement comes just weeks after a Los Angeles jury cleared her of assault charges in a $24 million civil lawsuit filed by security guard Emani Ellis. Ellis had alleged that Cardi cut her cheek with a fingernail and spat on her during a 2018 altercation outside an obstetrician’s office. After a week-long trial in Alhambra, the jury ruled in Cardi’s favor on September 3.
With Am I the Drama? topping charts, a cleared legal battle, and a new baby on the way, Cardi B is ushering in a fresh chapter defined by professional triumph and personal transformation.
