Work permits under the programme are now restricted exclusively to existing holders. Another significant change targets foreign-trained professionals.
Applicants are no longer required to demonstrate Canadian work experience under the Ontario Employment Standards Act. This adjustment is intended to remove barriers for skilled individuals who have trained abroad but lack prior work experience in Canada, opening new opportunities in the Canadian labor market.
