Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has reportedly sacked the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Paul Nwosu.

Although there’s no official statement to that effect yet, the news of Nwosu’s sack is said to be generating anxiety among Executive Council members of the state, who fear that the sack of Nwosu barely two weeks after Soludo sacked the MD of ABS Radio/TV, Mr. Chido Obidiegwu, for undisclosed reasons, is a hint at a looming cabinet shake-up.

Meanwhile a new Commissioner for Information is said to have been appointed and is currently being screened by the Anambra State House of Assembly.

When contacted, Chief Press Secretary to Soludo, Mr. Christian Aburime, would neither disclose the name of the new Commissioner nor explain why Mr. Nwosu was removed.

Inside sources, however, said Soludo is not satisfied with the performances of the six Commissioners and eight Special Advisers and Assistants, hence the apparent resolve to shake up his cabinet .

“The Governor wants results and not semantics and most of them could not retire appropriations to their offices and there  are no results of good performance,”
 the sources said.
