Nigeria’s owned Port Harcourt Refinery has commenced the production of petroleum products.
This was disclosed on Tuesday by the spokesperson of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Olufemi Soneye.
According to him, the refinery kicked off with 60 percent capacity.
He also noted that Port Harcourt refinery, which has a combined 250,000 barrels per day capacity, will start by processing 60,000 barrels per day of crude.
The new development comes after several failed commencement deadlines.
