Explosives have destroyed buildings and other property at the Tony Okocha-led secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) along Aba Road, Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
“The gate of the secretariat and the doors were shattered by the explosion which happened this morning (Saturday, October)” as the local government elections got underway in the oil-rich State, according to a Channels TV news report.
The explosion took place against the backdrop of the controversies surrounding the Rivers State local government election.
