The Kwara State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has vowed that the agency will not be deterred by the recent attack on its Lafiagi Area Command Office by suspected hoodlums. Speaking at the site of the burnt office, the commander condemned the destruction of vehicles and buildings, stating clearly that the attack stemmed from an issue unrelated to the agency’s operations.

In a strongly worded message, she warned the perpetrators that the NDLEA remains undeterred in its mission. “We cannot be intimidated to stop doing what we are doing, and none of them can stop us from achieving our aims. We are coming out for them… we’ll make sure that we bring all these perpetrators to book,” she declared. She reiterated the agency’s commitment to continuing its work in Lafiagi, emphasizing that the miscreants “will never stop us from doing our work.”

She appealed for support from the community and traditional rulers, calling on them to assist the agency in identifying and bringing the attackers to justice. “We are appealing to the community to give us necessary cooperation… to fish out all these miscreants,” she added, stressing the need for a united front to rid the area of drug abuse and trafficking.
