The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has described the party’s victories in the weekend elections across the Federal Capital Territory, Kano State and Rivers State as a strong affirmation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s governance and reform agenda.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Communication Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda said the party’s performance, particularly in the nation’s capital, reflected Nigerians’ confidence in the Renewed Hope Agenda and their belief that the ongoing reforms would steer the country toward sustainable development.
“I heartily congratulate our teeming APC supporters in the FCT, Kano, and Rivers States on the successful, peaceful, and credible conduct of the Saturday, 21st February 2026 polls. The victories recorded by our party are a clear testament to the resilience, unity, and grassroots strength of the APC,” the statement read.
Yilwatda commended party members and supporters for what he described as their dedication, discipline and commitment throughout the electoral process. He also praised security agencies and the electoral umpire for ensuring that the polls were conducted peacefully.
The APC chairman noted that the election outcomes underscored growing public trust in the policies and reforms being implemented by the Tinubu administration, adding that the Renewed Hope Agenda was beginning to yield tangible results across sectors.
He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to inclusive governance and pledged that elected officials under the APC platform would prioritise service delivery and the welfare of citizens.
According to him, the victories would further energise the party to consolidate its structures nationwide and continue advancing policies aimed at economic growth, security and national unity.
