The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State has declared that Governor Charles Soludo’s time in politics is over, vowing to retire him in the November 8 governorship election and “send him back to the classroom where he belongs.”

This declaration was made by Hon. Dozie Ikedife, Director-General of the Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and Senator Uche Ekwunife Campaign Organization, during an interactive session with journalists in Nnewi on Sunday.

Ikedife accused the governor of failing the people of Anambra on multiple fronts particularly in security, economic development, and governance.

He further argued that Soludo lacks genuine commitment to the state, claiming the governor has no visible investment in Anambra.

“Governor Soludo has failed our people. He has nothing to show for his time in office and no stake in Anambra. He is not a bona fide investor in this state and, therefore, cannot claim to be the leader of a business hub like ours.On November 8, Anambra people will retire him from politics and send him back to the classroom,” Ikedife added.

According to him, the APC has fielded a strong and credible ticket in Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and Senator Uche Ekwunife, whom he described as tested, trusted, and people-focused leaders.

“Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu is not just a politician , he is a businessman who has made significant investments in Anambra. He understands what it takes to create an enabling environment for business to thrive.Senator Uche Ekwunife is a seasoned legislator with the right experience to repair what Soludo has broken. Together, they represent light, while Soludo’s administration symbolizes darkness,” he said.

Ikedife also criticized Soludo’s handling of security in the state, alleging that several areas including parts of Orumba South, Ihiala, and Nnewi South have been overtaken by non-state actors under his watch.

“Hundreds of lives have been lost, including two sitting legislators. Our people are being brutalized daily , limbs broken, vehicles and property stolen — while Soludo’s government looks the other way.Any government that cannot protect lives and property has no justification for existing,” he declared.

The APC campaign DG further accused the governor of frequently “talking down” on Anambra citizens and disrespecting notable leaders in the state.

“Soludo insults our people. He talks down on Senator Uche Ekwunife, on George Moghalu, and on every serious contender. This kind of arrogance has no place in leadership. If he enjoys lecturing people, then he should return to the classroom — not remain in Government House,” he said.

Ikedife noted that the APC’s campaign strategy is rooted in grassroots mobilization and community engagement.

He said the upcoming election would present voters with a clear choice between “a failed government and a credible alternative.”

“Elections are about choices between good and evil, light and darkness. Anambra people know the truth.

A government that overtaxes its citizens yet fails to secure their lives is not only incompetent but dangerous. On November 8, our people will make their choice. They will choose progress over failure. They will choose Ukachukwu and Ekwunife. They will send Soludo packing,” he added.
