The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially refuted claims suggesting that it has withdrawn a recently circulated list for its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, dismissing the reports as baseless fabrications designed to mislead the public.
​The clarification was made during a press briefing held on Tuesday at the APC National Secretariat (Buchi House) in Abuja. Addressing journalists, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka, urged party members, supporters, and the general public to disregard the viral reports.
​According to Morka, the party has neither issued nor recalled any official list regarding its campaign structure for the upcoming 2027 general elections.
​”Our attention has been drawn to reports making the rounds across social media and certain online platforms claiming that the party has withdrawn its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council list,” Morka stated.
“We wish to state categorically that these reports are entirely false and speculative. The party operates through formal, structured channels, and no official announcement of such a council or any subsequent withdrawal has originated from the leadership.”
Official communications regarding party committees and structures will only be released via approved APC media channels and signed by authorized leadership.
The party reiterated that formal preparations and appointments for the campaign council will follow established guidelines and schedule set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Media outlets and social media users were urged to verify information with the party’s national publicity directorate before publication.
​The APC maintained that its national leadership remains focused on party administration and governance, cautioning against political mischief intended to create unnecessary distraction ahead of the election cycle.
