Following Victor Osimhen’s season-long loan move to Turkey, another Süper Lig club has shown interest in his international teammate Henry Onyekuru, who previously had three successful stints at Turkish giants Galatasaray.

According to a report from Milliyet via Sabah Spor, Eyüpspor is keen on signing the Super Eagles forward from Saudi Pro League club Al Fayha. The report revealed that the club has already made contact with the 27-year-old to explore the possibility of his return to the Turkish top flight.

Onyekuru’s contract with Al Fayha is set to expire next summer, and he is currently valued at €4.5 million. Eyüpspor will either need to meet that valuation or negotiate a lower fee if they are to secure the transfer before the close of the window.

The Nigerian forward has yet to feature in any matches this season, as he continues to recover from an injury that sidelined him for the last seven games of the previous Saudi Pro League campaign.

Eyüpspor, who recently earned promotion to the Turkish Süper Lig for the first time in their history, have made an impressive start, securing eight points from their first four matches. Coached by former Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan, the club is looking to strengthen their squad with more experienced players, which has sparked their interest in Onyekuru.

Throughout his time in the Süper Lig, Onyekuru has made 83 appearances, scoring 28 goals and providing 14 assists.
