Earlier today, a suspected Iranian drone strike hit the vicinity of the U.S. Consulate General in Dubai (located on Al Seef Road), leading to a limited fire.
​Fortunately, Dubai’s Media Office has confirmed that the fire was quickly contained and no injuries have been reported at the site.
​The strike on the Dubai consulate is part of a much larger wave of retaliatory attacks by Iran following recent U.S. and Israeli airstrikes.
The Dubai incident follows similar drone attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait City, both of which occurred within the last 48 hours.
While UAE air defenses have intercepted the vast majority of incoming projectiles, some debris or strikes have impacted other high-profile areas, including reports of incidents near Dubai International Airport and the Burj Al Arab.
