The President-General of Alaba Council of Sectional Heads, High Chief Dr. Ambassador Camillus Nnamdi Amajuoyi (Uzochukwuwara), has dismissed allegations circulating in some quarters that he “bought” the vice chairman’s seat in Ojo Local Government Area or that he intends to use the office holder as a political tool.
Amajuoyi described the claims as mischievous fabrications by “political charlatans and mischief makers” who, according to him, thrive on propaganda and rumours.
“It has come to our knowledge that some individuals are spreading lies, editing videos and making false claims against me. At no point did I say I bought the election that produced Hon. Princess Muhibat Rufai, nor did I say the vice chairman would be used as a spy,” he said in a statement.
The Alaba leader maintained that the recent electoral gains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ojo were the result of grassroots mobilization, commitment, and what he called “rational and empirical negotiation.” He credited Alaba APC traders for building what he described as a formidable structure that contributed to the party’s record performance in the area.
Amajuoyi urged party members and the people of Ojo to disregard the rumours, insisting that such allegations were the handiwork of “serial failures who could not deliver or win trust.”
“Our loyalty to the party is undivided, and no amount of blackmail or propaganda can derail the collective commitment of Alaba traders to the progress of APC in Ojo”.
He further reiterated that Alaba traders in APC remain united and focused on development, warning detractors that their “campaign of calumny” would not succeed.
“Long live Alaba Traders in APC, long live Ojo Local Government APC, long live our great state, and long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
