Kenny Okolugbo, Consultant on Communications and Strategy to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has dismissed reports circulating on social media concerning the health of the Senate President, describing them as false and misleading.
Speaking on Thursday during an interview on Channels Television’s Morning Brief, Okolugbo said the claims were baseless and unfounded, stressing that there is no truth to the speculation making the rounds online.
According to him, Senate President Akpabio is in good health and continues to actively discharge his official responsibilities without any hindrance.
“These are unfounded rumours. The Senate President is healthy and fully engaged in his duties,” Okolugbo said, urging the public to disregard what he described as deliberate attempts to spread misinformation.
He added that Akpabio has remained committed to his legislative responsibilities and leadership of the Senate, noting that his public engagements and official schedule clearly contradict the claims being circulated.
Okolugbo cautioned against the spread of unverified information on social media, saying such reports only serve to mislead the public and undermine confidence in public institutions.
He reaffirmed that the Senate President remains focused on his role in advancing the legislative agenda of the National Assembly.
