The Ports Authority Police (Western) Command is pleased to announce the assumption of duty of CP ™ as the 33rd Commissioner of Police, Ports Authority Police (Western) Command, Apapa, Lagos.
CP Agbaminoja brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role, having served in various capacities across the country. Her illustrious career spans over two decades, with notable postings in the Kwara State Police Command, IGP Monitoring Unit, Force Headquarters, Abuja, and the Special Fraud Unit (SFU), Ikoyi.
As a trailblazer, CP Agbaminoja has achieved numerous milestones, including being the first female Area Commander, Area ‘M’ Idimu (2017); first female Head, Zonal Criminal Investigation Department, Zone 2, Onikan, Lagos (2021); first female Deputy Commissioner of Police, Airport Command (2023); and first female Deputy Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command Criminal Investigation Department (2024).
CP Agbaminoja’s vast experience and leadership skills have earned her numerous accolades and recognition. She has attended several professional and leadership courses both within Nigeria and abroad, enhancing her operational and strategic capacity.
Upon assumption of office, CP Agbaminoja reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening port security, promoting operational efficiency, and ensuring a safe and secure maritime environment for economic growth. She pledged to work collaboratively with all stakeholders within the maritime industry to achieve these goals.
CP Agbaminoja is happily married with children and enjoys cooking and reading in her free time. She takes over from AIG Olanrewatu Olawale Ishola, who has been promoted and is proceeding on retirement.
The new Commissioner of Police is a proud holder of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Language from the University of Ilorin, obtained in 1992. She was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 1994 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, Course 18.
