​The internal leadership crisis rocking the Kaduna State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially been resolved following a successful peace initiative led by its governorship candidate, Hon. Isa Ashiru.
​The reconciliation agreement was reached on Wednesday during a high-level stakeholder meeting at the party’s state secretariat along Ali Akilu Road in Kaduna, reuniting factional leaders and key party executives who had been embroiled in a months-long dispute.
Representatives from both rival factions agreed to withdraw all pending litigations and formal complaints. A harmonized executive committee was adopted to ensure equal representation and fair governance across all wards and local governments.
Party members unanimously reaffirmed their support for Hon. Isa Ashiru ahead of the upcoming election cycle.
​Speaking to newsmen immediately after the closed-door meeting, Hon. Isa Ashiru emphasized that unity was non-negotiable if the party intended to win the governorship race:
​”A house divided against itself cannot stand. Today, we have chosen unity over division and the collective interest of Kaduna State over personal grievances. The ADC is now one united family ready to offer a credible alternative to our people.”
Former factional leaders, Ahmed Tijjani Mustapha and Shu’aibu Idris Mikati, also embraced publicly, assuring supporters that all differences had been put aside to focus entirely on building a robust campaign strategy.
