Mr Hafis Bello, African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Lagos East Senatorial District, has pledged to sponsor bills and initiate legislative interventions that would attract meaningful development to the district, if elected.

Bello made the pledge while speaking on his campaign priorities, in Lagos, on Wednesday.

He said that his legislative agenda would focus on issues capable of improving the welfare and economic opportunities of residents across the senatorial district.

Bello added that his representation would prioritise infrastructure, youth empowerment, education, healthcare and other programmes that could contribute to sustainable development in Lagos East.

“I will sponsor bills that will attract development to Lagos East Senatorial District and promote policies that will directly improve the lives of our people”.

Bello also promised to maintain regular engagement with constituents, stressing that effective representation required constant consultation and responsiveness to the needs of the people.

“My representation will not be limited to the National Assembly; I will ensure that the voices and concerns of the people of Lagos East are heard and properly represented”.

The candidate urged voters to support candidates with clear programmes and the capacity to provide effective representation, rather than relying solely on political sentiments.

“We need representation that will bring development, accountability and opportunities to our communities.

“I am prepared to offer purposeful and people-oriented leadership”.
