The Abia State Police Command has identified and destroyed a suspected criminal hideout inside the Unuobasi Forest in Umunneochi Local Government Area, warning that the state will no longer tolerate criminal activities.

The successful operation was disclosed in an official statement released on Thursday by the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chinaka, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa.

According to the command, security operatives dismantled the camp after leveraging actionable intelligence to pinpoint its location within the dense forest.

”There is no hiding place for criminals in Abia State,” the command warned, emphasizing its renewed commitment to flushing out illicit elements from their strongholds.

While details on arrests or recovered items during the raid were not immediately made public, the police command assured residents that strategic operations are being intensified to guarantee the safety of lives and property across the state.
