The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abia State Chapter, has congratulated Chief Obinna Oriaku on his appointment as a Federal Commissioner in the Federal Character Commission.
“Although Chief Oriaku is not a member of our party, we recognise and celebrate merit wherever it is found. Over the years, he has demonstrated admirable integrity, competence, and an unwavering commitment to public service. His record shows the hallmarks of a man who can be trusted with any public responsibility, and whose word can be taken as his bond,” Elder Abraham Amah, PDP State Abia Chairman, stated in a statement he personally signed.
Elder Amah said, “We are confident that Chief Oriaku will bring his wealth of experience, sense of fairness, and deep understanding of governance to bear in this new role, upholding the sacred principles of equity, justice, and inclusiveness which the Federal Character Commission was established to protect”.
Oriaku was a Commissioner for Finance in the first term of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s administration. He has become more known for asking the current government in Abia State to be more transparent in its management of the State’s resources.
