Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has rewarded two outstanding indigenes of the state who emerged as the overall best and second-best graduating students at the 2026 Nigerian Law School graduation ceremony, presenting them with ₦5 million each and pledging to sponsor their postgraduate studies abroad.
The governor announced the gesture in a Facebook post on Wednesday after hosting the exceptional graduates at a reception in Ilorin, where he praised their academic excellence and described their achievements as a source of pride for Kwara State and Nigeria.
The beneficiaries are Israel Adekunle Adeniyi, an indigene of Offa, who emerged as the overall best graduating student at the 2026 Nigerian Law School graduation ceremony held in Abuja, and Oluwatomisin Promise Daniel, from Idofin Igbana in Oke Ero Local Government Area, who finished as the second-best graduating student nationwide.
Both scholars earned their Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Ilorin before proceeding to the Nigerian Law School, where they distinguished themselves among thousands of students from across the country.
Governor AbdulRazaq said the remarkable accomplishments of the two young lawyers reflected the values of discipline, hard work and dedication, adding that the state government would continue to recognize and reward excellence in education.
