Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has publicly condemned President Bola Tinubu for seemingly ignoring the severe hardships caused by his policies, particularly the removal of petrol subsidy.
In a post on X, Atiku, the 2023 presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), accused Tinubu of compromising the well-being of Nigerians, referring to him as “T-Pain.”
Atiku stated: “The haphazard and disingenuous approach of the current administration to fuel subsidy management has been the reason we are in this current economic crisis.”
He expressed concern over the rising inflation rate, emphasizing that it is worsening the material conditions of many Nigerians.
“It is even more worrying that T-Pain is undisturbed by the hardship in the country,” Atiku chided.
This criticism comes as Nigerians faced another shock when the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) adjusted the pump price of petrol at retail outlets in Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, early Wednesday (yesterday, October 9) morning.
