The Federal Government of Nigeria officially launched the “Inspire Live” virtual teaching initiative alongside the “Ignite” learning platform on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM WAT during an executive launch ceremony at the Federal Secretariat Complex in Abuja.

The national project aims to bridge critical educational gaps by delivering real-time, interactive instruction to primary, junior secondary, and senior secondary pupils in underserved communities nationwide.

The program streams live daily instruction from Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 2:30 PM WAT, directly connecting remote classrooms with qualified, specialized educators.

Designed to cover core curricula across primary, JSS 1–2, and SS 2 levels, the initiative offers comprehensive instruction in fundamental subjects, including Mathematics, English Language, Basic Science, ICT, Civic Education, and Agricultural Science.

To ensure uninterrupted access, participating public schools and students receive zero-rated access to the educational portal alongside sponsored data coverage.

”Through the Inspire Live initiative and the Ignite platform, the Federal Government is ensuring that no Nigerian child is left behind due to geographical location or subject-teacher deficits,” said Dr. Tunji Alausa, Minister of Education. “We are directly streaming qualified, highly trained educators into remote classrooms to guarantee equitable and quality learning access across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.”

Emphasizing the long-term impact of the project, Folasade Boriowo, Director of Press and Public Relations at the Federal Ministry of Education, noted that the initiative represents the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda in action for the basic and secondary education sectors.

She added that digitizing classrooms and standardizing subject delivery establishes a resilient, future-ready infrastructure for underserved public institutions.

School administrators and educational coordinators can integrate these live broadcasts into their daily class timetables by registering on the official portal at inspire.education.gov.ng or by contacting the ministry’s designated desk officer, Mrs. Abdulrasheed Ganiyat.
