The All Progressives Congress (APC) has finalized its road map for the 2027 presidential election as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu officially approved the primary schedule for his re-election campaign.
​The Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Senator Abdulaziz Yari, confirmed the development following a high-level briefing with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday evening.
​The APC Presidential Campaign Council, managed by Senator Yari alongside Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma as Secretary, will rollout its nationwide mobilisation through the following itinerary; Campaign Council Inauguration: Wednesday, October 14, 2026 | State House Banquet Hall, Abuja.
Official Campaign Flag-Off will hold on Saturday, October 24, 2026, Kaduna State. Subsequent Zonal Rallies will take place at Port Harcourt (Rivers State), followed immediately by Maiduguri (Borno State).
​The complete state-by-state campaign itinerary spanning all six geopolitical zones will be released immediately following the council’s formal inauguration in Abuja.
​Speaking to State House correspondents, Senator Yari expressed confidence in the party’s platform, pointing to economic turnarounds under the current administration.
​”President Bola Tinubu, since he assumed office, has turned around the situation that he met on the ground. The economy is moving,” Yari stated. “We have done enough that we can tell our opponents about what we did. We are not promising; we are doing it, and we are going to continue.”
​Addressing questions regarding key opposition political figures, including Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Yari dismissed their chances based on national geographic distribution.
He noted that winning the presidency requires a broad cross-regional coalition across both Northern and Southern states, a criteria he argued only the APC currently satisfies.
​The full media apparatus, campaign spokespersons, and state-level coordinators will be formally presented during the October 14 inauguration ceremony at the Banquet Hall.
