Ondo NANS summit to drive student innovation and economic independence in Akure

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Ondo State Joint Campus Council (JCC), is set to host its 2026 Entrepreneurship Summit on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Deji Hall, Ojaja, Akure.

​Organized under the theme “Students to CEO: Unlocking Ondo State Students’ Potential for Economic Growth,” the gathering is designed to move undergraduates beyond traditional classroom learning by providing practical pathways into business development, mentorship, and financial empowerment.

The event will feature Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who serves as the Chief Host and in whose honor the summit is being held.

​According to a joint statement released on Saturday, August 20, by NANS Ondo JCC Chairman Comrade Adekanye Mayomi Adeboye, key highlights and objectives of the upcoming event include; Bringing together undergraduates, corporate leaders, seasoned entrepreneurs, government officials, and financial institutions to create direct networking channels.

It will Conducting interactive panels and practical workshops focused on converting innovative student ideas into sustainable, market-ready enterprises and rally participation from universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education across Ondo State.

​Adeboye emphasized the council’s dedication to student welfare and long-term economic independence, while appealing to development agencies, private enterprise partners, and government bodies to actively collaborate with NANS Ondo JCC in scaling economic opportunities for young entrepreneurs.
