The Wife of Anambra Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, says the state has remained a land of promise and great possibilities, driven by the strength of its communities and the brilliance of its people.
Mrs Soludo stated this in her goodwill message to mark the 35th anniversary of the creation of Anambra, on Thursday.
She said that this year’s anniversary was an opportunity to celebrate the state’s resilient journey, greatness and the remarkable contributions of its people.
According to her, Anambra has always been defined by enterprise, resilience, courage, culture and an unwavering belief in what is possible.
“As we mark 35 years of statehood, may we continue to build an Anambra where every child can dream; every family can thrive; and every community can look to the future with confidence.
“To our great people at home and elsewhere, happy 35th anniversary of the creation of our dear state, the Light of the Nation!
“May Anambra continue to rise, prosper, glow and win; happy anniversary, Anambra,” she said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Anambra was created on Aug. 27, 1991, by Gen. Ibrahim Babangida when the old Anambra was split into Anambra and Enugu states.
