The North-Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum has expressed strong confidence in former Zamfara State Governor and serving Senator, Abdulaziz Yari, to lead President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling party to a decisive victory in the upcoming 2027 presidential election.
The endorsement came during a press conference held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the party’s zonal Secretariat in Abuja, following the ruling party’s formal unveiling of its 108-member Presidential Campaign Council.
Speaking on behalf of the stakeholder coalition, the forum’s convener and coordinator, Chief Saleh Zazzaga, described Yari, who was recently appointed Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council as a proven political strategist and a unifying figure capable of mobilizing grassroots support across all geopolitical zones.
”Going by his record in governance, national mobilization, and his extensive network, Senator Abdulaziz Yari possesses the leadership acumen and tactical capability needed to deliver a resounding victory for President Bola Tinubu and the APC in 2027,” Zazzaga stated.
The forum highlighted Yari’s political career as former Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and founder of the Renewed Hope Network, emphasizing that his appointment as Campaign DG reinforces party cohesion and strategy ahead of the polls.
Addressing party delegates and media executives, Zazzaga further declared the forum’s commitment to collaborating closely with the newly structured campaign council to secure at least six million votes for President Tinubu across the six North-Central states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The APC Presidential Campaign Council structure is chaired by President Bola Tinubu, with Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda serving as Vice Chairmen, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma serves as Campaign Secretary alongside Senator Yari as Director-General.
