The Jagaban Grassroots Movement has congratulated Gov. Ahmed Ododo of Kogi on his appointment as Deputy Director, Finance, of the Presidential Campaign Council.
The group’s Coordinator, Mr Samuel Obasun, conveyed the congratulatory message in a statement issued on Sunday in Lokoja.
Obasun described the appointment as recognition of Ododo’s leadership capacity, organisational ability and commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He also commended Ododo’s designation as Kogi State Coordinator of the campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He expressed confidence that his dual responsibilities would strengthen grassroots mobilisation and boost support for Tinubu across Kogi.
Obasun said Ododo had demonstrated strong commitment to maintaining peace, unity and discipline within the party.
He said the political structure established under the governor’s leadership was capable of delivering a decisive victory for Tinubu.
According to him, the appointment would further motivate APC members and supporters to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the presidential election.
Obasun said projects and interventions attracted to Kogi through the Tinubu administration’s support had strengthened the partnership between the state and Federal Government.
He added that initiatives implemented by the Ododo administration had further reinforced the partnership and enhanced development across various sectors.
He listed infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture and security among areas where the administrations had recorded visible interventions.
“These achievements will translate into increased support for the President at the polls,” Obasun said.
The coordinator assured that members of the movement and other Tinubu supporters across Kogi would work to secure an overwhelming electoral mandate.
He said the group remained committed to supporting the campaign and mobilising voters at the grassroots throughout the state.
Obasun expressed confidence that Ododo’s leadership of the campaign would produce what he described as a historic victory for President Tinubu in Kogi.
