President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the immediate arrest of suspected fraudster Prince George Buchi Nwabueze and approved the indefinite suspension of three Federal Permanent Secretaries after anti-graft investigators exposed an unauthorized entity operating inside the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).
Addressing news correspondents at the State House on Friday, August 21, 2026, the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu (SAN), revealed that the fraudulent syndicate operated under the guise of the “National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office.”
The illicit organization was illegally allocated physical office space within the high-security OSGF premises despite lacking statutory backing, executive authorization, or an official government gazette. The scheme came to light during the ICPC’s ongoing investigation into another fictitious entity, the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).
Investigators discovered that the key promoter, Prince George Buchi Nwabueze, conducted business using multiple alias variations to evade detection, including George Nathan, George Nathan Nwabueze, Hon. George Buchi Nwabueze, George Nwabueze within this period of operation.
Following a direct briefing by the ICPC Chairman at the Presidential Villa, President Tinubu sanctioned swift punitive measures against internal collaborators suspected of enabling the operation.
Security forces were instructed to locate and arrest Prince George Buchi Nwabueze immediately, along with three top OSGF Permanent Secretaries were suspended from duty with immediate effect; M. S. Danjuma, Engr. Nadungu Gagare and Richard P. Pheelangwah.
The ICPC confirmed that the forensic investigation remains active to determine the full scope of financial and administrative breaches, while the Federal Executive Council has ordered a comprehensive audit of office space allocations across all ministry complexes.
