Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, representing Borno South Senatorial District, has urged the Nigerian Armed Forces to scale up rescue operations targeting abducted residents from several communities across Southern Borno.
The lawmaker made the call while expressing concern over the safety of citizens recently kidnapped by insurgents. Among those highlighted for immediate rescue operations are the schoolchildren abducted from Mussa and Lassa, passengers intercepted along the Buratai transit corridor, and remaining hostages taken during attacks in Ngoshe.
Senator Ndume appealed to security agencies to deploy additional tactical resources and intelligence-led operations to track down the perpetrators, clear insurgent enclaves, and ensure the safe return of all held captive across the district.
