Following the official declaration of the Osun State governorship election results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that it is currently reviewing the outcome before deciding on its next line of action.
The statement was issued on Sunday afternoon at approximately 2:30 PM from the party’s state secretariat along the Gbongan–Osogbo Road in Osogbo. Speaking on behalf of the party, the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, alongside the Osun State APC Publicity Secretary, Tajudeen Lawal, addressed journalists regarding the outcome of the election.
”We have taken note of the results announced by INEC,” Morka stated during the press conference. “Our legal team and party leadership are currently studying the detailed field reports, collation sheets, and overall conduct of the election across all local government areas.
We urge our members, supporters, and the good people of Osun State to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding as we complete this critical review. A definitive statement regarding our next step will be made public shortly.”
The party’s leadership maintained that any decision regarding whether to accept the final outcome or seek legal redress through the Election Petition Tribunal will be made only after a thorough evaluation of the process.
Further details regarding the party’s decision are expected to be made available in subsequent official communications.
