With just two days to the Osun State governorship election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has undertaken a last-minute reprinting of ballot papers to ensure a smooth voting process.
The exercise was necessitated by the need to rectify administrative errors, accommodate emerging legal mandates regarding party candidate listings, and safeguard the integrity of the voting materials.
Commission officials assured stakeholders that the updated ballot papers have been fully audited, secured, and dispatched to local government headquarters under tight security supervision to prevent any logistics delays on election day.
INEC emphasized that all critical and non-sensitive election materials, including the modified ballot papers and configured Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) devices, are strictly accounted for.
The electoral body reiterated its commitment to maintaining absolute neutrality and conducting a transparent, free, and fair election across all polling units in the state.
