The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has ordained 2,820 full pastors and 11,830 deacons and deaconesses at its ongoing 74th Annual Convention in lagos, Aug. 10, 2026.
The ordination ceremony, held as part of the church’s annual international gathering, brought together thousands of ministers and members from Nigeria and other parts of the world.
The church said the ordination was aimed at strengthening its ministerial workforce and preparing the newly ordained ministers for greater responsibilities in the service of the church.
A total of 14,650 ministers were ordained, comprising full pastors, deacons and deaconesses.
The ceremony formed part of the activities of the 74th Annual Convention, which features worship, prayers, teaching and other programmes.
The church leadership urged the newly ordained ministers to remain committed to their responsibilities and uphold the values and teachings of the RCCG.
The ordination further underscored the church’s continued expansion of its ministerial structure as it prepares more members for leadership and service.
The RCCG’s annual convention attracts worshippers and ministers from across Nigeria and other countries.
